The legal mandate of the Studierendenwerk Frankfurt am Main is to serve the students at our universities in the Rhine-Main region. With our 30 canteens, cafeterias and cafés at 13 university locations in Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach, Wiesbaden, Rüsselsheim and Geisenheim, we want to provide the students and the universities’ employees with a broad and attractive supply. Approximately 1.6 million meals are prepared and sold in the canteens and cafeterias annually.
Nutrition plays an increasingly crucial role in social life. This issue is dealt with in a deliberate and critical way. We accept our social responsibility and purchase healthy foods, preferably from regional producers. We are also committed to corporate hygiene, energy saving, and clean waste water!
We pick up current gastronomy trends, which can be found in our concepts. With a broad spectrum and a decentralized supply concept we attempt to meet our guests’ demands. Apart from special offer counters, e.g. grill, wok, pizza and pasta, mensaVital – our own especially light cuisine – vegetarian and vegan dishes complement our menu.
Besides the gastronomical aspect, the social aspect is another important element. Comfortable coffee bars and lounges are meeting points for studying, meeting people or updating on current news.
Our pricing structure seeks to balance between quality and pricing. We take the legal mandate we have very seriously. As a non-profit company, our focus lies on performance optimization. For the different types of universities we offer optimal solutions. We give our guests the opportunity to enjoy to enjoy balanced meals at acceptable prices.
