The Studierendenwerk Frankfurt am Main offers general legal advice for our university’s students for free.

Frankfurt and Offenbach

Frankfurt - Campus Westend, Beratungszentrum 
A through the district court authorized lawyer is able to advise students in all legal matters.
Office hours: Every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. Walk-in-consultation. 
In exceptional cases, the lawyer is available beyond her office hours. You can reach her under 069/553060 at the law office.

In addition, a licensed lawyer with a law firm in Frankfurt advises students on all legal matters. Advice is given by telephone or e-mail.

A authorized lawyer who has his offices in central Wiesbaden is there to advise students in all legal matters. The consultation will take place in the lawyers' offices in central Wiesbaden oder via phone.

General legal advice by the Frankfurt Lawyers Association
General legal advice for financially weak citizens will be provided by the Social Legal Advisory at court building B, room 108, Frankfurt district court, Gerichtsstr. 2. A fee of EUR 15.00 will be charged.

Counselling assistance
Citizens with a low income can receive counselling assistance for a fee of EUR 15.00 in order to obtain legal advice and, if necessary, representation.

Legal aid
will be granted if

  • the intended trial has prospect of success and
  • the petitioner, depending on his or her personal and financial situation, cannot carry the costs of the trial entirely or is merely capable of paying by instalments.
